Horror punk is a style of punk music that was defined by the band
The Misfitsback in 1997. The concept with horror punk (and all styles that were created from it)
is naturally punk rock sound, but with a 50's style or garage style sound, with lyrics and themese based on horror movies or dark imagery.
Most horror punk songs are story like as if the song was based on a movie or farie tale with a dash of dark humor, morbid dreams and fast rifts.
Horror punk has been growing more interest thought he years with the interest in
psychobilly and deathrock with more and more bands coming around like the horrorpops, murderland and many more.
